I have never heard Tafseer taught like this before, even though, by the blessing of Allah, I had the opportunity to travel and listen to different Shyookh and speakers. As a speaker, my time is very limited, but Shaykh Hosam does us a big favour by summarizing research from at least 50 different sources of Tafseer and then delivering the gist of it all through the structured Quran Journey curriculum. He presents the material in a relatable and engaging manner that a contemporary audience can really relate to. I have looked at the audience while Shaykh Hosam delivers his talks and everyone was mesmerized by the explanation that brings out the beauty of the Quran. Every time I invited him to speak somewhere, people always ask me to bring him back. I make du’a for him and this blessed endeavour and I am excited for Quran Journey to launch.

I joined Quran Journey a couple of months after it began and Alhamdulillah, I found that dedicating this time to connect with the book of Allah increased the barakah in my time while providing a regular eman booster. Sheikh Hosam is a very engaging speaker ma shaa Allah; not only does he explain the historical context of the ayaat in a captivating manner, but he also relates them to modern times, providing lessons that are directly applicable in our day-to-day lives. The comprehensive classes allow for a holistic understanding of Islam from reliable sources. Ultimately, Quran Journey has improved my relationship with the Quran and, in turn, my relationship with Allah SWT. My only regret is not joining Quran Journey from the start.

As a Canadian revert Muslim, I struggled for some time to figure out exactly how I should learn about Islam because I was confused with everyone giving me their own opinion and trying to get me to worship the way they did. Reading the Quran clarified my understanding, but because I did not speak Arabic it was still difficult. With the help of Quran Journey I feel a lot better off as a Muslim.Quran Journey helped teach me the message in the Quran Allah sent for us. QJ has helped me really understand Surat Fatiha and it has greatly helped me with my relationship with Allah through my Salat. Surat Fatiha is recited multiple times in prayer and knowing what is being recited really brings my heart to life in every Salat. Now I feel my focus in Salat is stronger and so is my emaan.

Being the first program of its kind available in English, Quran Journey is truly something special. The typical student of knowledge would be using separate sources to study and explore the Quran and the seerah individually, whereas Quran Journey brings, both, the word of Allah, and the life of His prophet ﷺ together for a comprehensive understanding of the religion through the lens of the first generation. QJ provides us with the tools necessary for developing a holistic and contextually correct understanding of Islam, thus resulting in not only the solidification of one’s own faith, but also serving as an avenue through which one develops responses to the questions Islam is constantly challenged with in a confident and academically accurate fashion. Quran Journey has been a huge part of building my Islamic knowledge. Living and learning in this society, it always seems difficult to keep up with your deen, but QJ makes it easy. Every surah, every story, every discussion, leaves you in awe. QJ allows you to [finally] understand what is being said in the Quran, and the context and reasoning behind every ayah. You can feel the barakah in the gathering. It’s very heartwarming to see everyone, young and old, from different cultures and backgrounds, sitting in a room together learning about Allah, the Quran, and Islam. Everything is laid out for you in astounding detail. You not only listen to the stories from the Quran but you experience them, learn from them, you implement the lessons in your life and you always leave the room having benefited in one way or another, eagerly waiting for the next class.
